Position: Full-Time/Warehouse Staff

Owego & Endicott Agway is seeking a highly reliable individual, for full time position for Warehouse Staff. Applicants must be enthusiastic and willing to work with fellow employees and customers. Knowledge of goods is not required but recommended, and willingness to learn and take direction from management.

Duties & Requirements include but are not limited to:

Receiving of Hard Goods

Maintenance of Hard Goods

Product advice for customers

Strong commitment to customer service in a retail environment

Goal oriented

Ability to manage time, and complete tasks on an individual basis

Strong social skills, problem solving skills

Provide leadership and work direction to a small team of employees

Handle opening and closing procedures

Knowledge of products on hand and willing to learn products on hand

Must have moderate reading, writing, and mathematical skills

Must have the ability to bend, sit, stand, reach, and lift items weighing 50 pounds or more, on a regular basis

Must be able to work inside and outside and be exposed to weather of all sorts

Must be willing to learn to drive forklift

Must be willing to learn to fill propane tanks for customers

Must have willingness to learn all aspects of retail

Must be reliable, energetic, and able to work 35+ hours/week. Must be willing to work weekends (one day out of the weekend)

Applicant must have reliable transportation, be responsible & friendly, be a team player and be able to communicate easily with co-workers and customers

Applicant should be willing to learn all aspects of retail. There is an opportunity for advancement.

Warehouse Experience Preferred, but we are willing to teach the right individual. We are looking for someone who will offer a focus on customer relations for both retail and wholesale purchases. You will offer information and insight to customers when choosing products, as well as handle the customer's final sale. You will be responsible for loading customer vehicles, stocking shelves in the store, receiving new stock daily/weekly. You will have to maintain and keep up your designated areas and other duties as necessary.
